Slow Start to Spring….. but then a headlong Rush into Summer

DOI_1302_00009qq

Spring was a slow starter spread across many dull and often wet days.  So we were quick to embrace the bright colours of those early Spring Bulbs, all beacons of hope.

From the end of April and through May, on days that got both lighter and warmer, the garden did seem at times,  like increasingly hard work (OK a labour of love but still hard).

DOI_1308_00014qqqAt first it seemed to be a very slow progress, then all of a sudden as June arrives…..  we move from Spring into the magic of Summer and all that hard work appears to pay off….

The best is yet to come, more colour, more fragrances and no doubt more work,  but also I hope some time to relax…

The first weekend of summer has arrived, so relax if you can, and as always….
