As far as the weather went, it was a weekend to forget. Storms, Thunder and Torrential Rains.
So this morning, with the sun deciding to shine, I thought I ought to check on any damage to the our plants and flowers.
Miraculously there is next to no damage. What was evident is that the current colour swatch is Red, Orange and lots of Pinks and Yellows in between the extremes.
The only damage was the lone Peony that had managed to bloom this year…. so a rescue mission with deemed necessary to salvage the broken stem….
It would of course have been better gracing the bush a while longer …. but at least it gets to live just a little longer.

No doubt we will get more ‘weather’ of the wet kind… but also we hope, lots more sunshine…
No matter your weather…., as always…..

Well, congratulations on a garden that’s a survivor!

Was a big surprise…. the storms seemed to be worse than we have experienced…. but relieved no lasting damage.

We hope so… but some say we have had a good run for our money so far this spring and early summer and we should accept some downturns in the weather. 🙂
