Garden Miracles

ACANTHUS.  

Little garden miracles keep appearing as summer progresses.  From nowhere, thick foliage appears, then a spike starts to reach for the sky.  Ultimately that spike produces a multitude of purple flower heads.  Right now, the flowers are just bursting into life.  This is the stage I like the most… the stage where they are just emerging, more growing to do whilst showing their colours, hinting at what is still to come.  🙂

Summer is underway, many more miracles to come.

    1. Still always amazes me each spring and summer how everything comes to life in so many different ways. By the way this one isn’t so small…. the steams are already over a meter high and still growing 🙂
