A Seasonal Milestone of sorts

It’s Sun shining. It also quite a surprise.  Today the 28th is the last Monday in August, and with the exception of Scotland, here in the UK it is a Bank Holiday, the last till Christmas.

I know the British have a reputation for being obsessed with the weather, we also tend to be weather cynical.  Today is a good example.  Simply because August Bank Holiday Weekend always seems to be wet. Yes, a real damper on this last opportunity for holidays and short breaks before the new School Term starts.

But we live in hope, and thousands have headed off  for a break.  But today the roads will be manic with folk heading back home. so best avoided.

Fortunately we are at home, so not to waste this brilliant surprising Bank Holiday Monday morning, we headed to one of our local parks.  So peaceful, lots of exercise and plenty of fresh air…..  the wildlife garden and Hydrangea Collection were an added colour packed bonus.

What could be better than to idle a few moments, in the shade of one of the many trees in the Arboretum…..

Always good occasionally….  just to watch the world go bye… all the more special as the weather gods hadn’t read the script

and of course as always…..

Stay Safe …. Be Kind…. Look After Each Other

      1. Ironically David we have had a pretty good summer – some rain but only short sharp downfalls lots of sunshine and hardly any wind – temperature’s didn’t go mad either – so all together positive. 20:30 is sunset here at the moment.

        1. I watched the forecasts with some envy this year and noted your good fortune… we have to be greatfull for June, which was fabulous, a tease before our summer went so wrong. Fingers crossed for a great autumn.
