Thanks to the Tulips….

Tulips have been the bulb of the spring this year.  In a traditional spring we start with Crocus, followed by a host of Daffodils all underscored by the blue gems of the Muscari…. then would come the Tulips.  This Spring, after very disappointing shows from the supporting cast, the torch of Spring has relied upon the Tulip 

History has told us over the past Springs, is that Tulips never do well in our garden soil…… so we always plant Tulips in garden tubs. So very ‘thankful’ we do, as in this strange Spring, Tulips have more than made up for our disappointment with the the traditional bulbs.

But all good things must come to an end and the Tulips are now heading home, the bulbs will be stored for next year… for whatever Spring will look like in 2025, different again no-doubt.

Just as a final thought…. well done to the Hyacinth that have complimented the Tulips so well..
