They say that “April Showers bring forth May Flowers”… it is possibly true.
As for showers, well this April they have been few and far between. What we have ‘enjoyed’ is downpours, gales and when not gale-force just windy. The rains have been so heavy and constant since January that the land is now just sodden. True we have enjoyed the occasional sunny day, that even managed to seem rather Spring like…. despite all, some of our April flowers and bulbs have survived and tried their best to cheer us up with their colours and scents.
Lets hope those promised May flowers will appear in abundance… till then….. April, well its been nice to know you (I think) 🙂
We will have to wait and see what the future has in store…. but as always….
