A Rarity……

I think it says a great deal about our Spring, Summer, and the English weather we have ‘enjoyed’ this year, when a highlight in our garden is the humble Honeysuckle.  Normally a very reliable column of rich green with yellow flowers who’s petals are touched with reds and orange, but this season the flowers have been spasmodic and few.

I have mentioned before just how strange the seasons have been this year.  Rain has been the underlying constant, sunny spells rare, but also very warm… we even had 4 days of a heatwave…. well hot for us 30c.  As a result the garden is, lets say lush, green foliage is rampant, but flowers either few or not in their usual cycle of life.

So thankfully the Honeysuckle has given us some colour and a reminder, whilst not at its best, still with us.  🙂

Sunday tomorrow… and our forecasters do say we might have some sunshine…..

But rain or shine, enjoy and as always….
