October 1st… a new month but also the real marker of autumns arrival.
A month of many contrasts to mirror the changes, changes that can bring quiet moments in the countryside, then by contrast, wild storms. telegraphing the coming of winter.
I just hope that autumn will be kind to make up for our very wet spring and summer…. all one can do is hope 🙂

One has to be optimistic…. sadly it is still raining, our river is running very high and fast. It is also a reminder that this week last year we had floods. But we still hope for perhaps an Indian Summer 🙂
