After a rather dreich Sunday, the weather today was the complete reverse. For October, dare I say rather Mediterranean like. Blue sky, sunshine and temperatures reaching 18c, may be a degree higher.
The Hydrangeas, in the National Collection at Darley Park, are well past their best, but still bravely putting on show… all be it one that is fading.
It has been a busy day, so time was limited, but a walk round the Mill Village and Park at Darley was perfect for an afternoon walk.

A rather grand October day…. now I wonder what tomorrow will bring.
As always….. no matter the weather….

Its part of the UNESCO Derwent Valley Heritage Mills. Was left derelict but inspired restoration and business plan, this is now a vibrant busy multi business centre plus a wedding venue. Great to see it being so successful after the years of neglect
