The sun shines bright…. a minor miracle after 12 days of heavy cloud, damp and mists It was a day too good to waste and a walk was the much needed tonic.
It is also the 11th of November, a day that was always so important to Jean.. and a peaceful walk was always on her agenda for this special day of contemplation. So, there was only one location that would fill the brief, Jeans favourite walking location, Calke Woods….. and autumn with its colours and aromas was always the optimum time….
Of course a stop at the leaning Sweet Chestnut Tree with its gravity defeating angle, always a a place to stop and admire…. only this time neither Jean or Buster could pose for the obligatory photo.

I think Jean would have enjoyed the day…. and yes, I shed a tear or two.
Please Remember ….
Stay Safe …. Be Kind…. Look After Each Other
11th November
