Two thirds of the way through November and what a strange month it has been for weather. The month started with a continuous of October’s dark, damp and misty run miserable days. Then a short spell of sunshine more like spring….. and now they tell us that winter is arriving imminently.
Cannot deny that it is autumn… but not as we would normally enjoy. True we have some bare trees, also true that we have lots of leaves on the ground but also still lots greenery. Add morning mist and I guess we cannot complain.

One good sign, if indeed we have a spell of bad weather ahead, is that the River is running slow and low….

Best get the Gloves and winter coats ready..

My goodness David, leaves are thick as thieves, as the saying goes.

I made a snowman, 18″ high. I’m sure snow is colder now than it used to be when I was a lad!
