To say the year has been strange is an understatement. After torrential rains in the Spring, we now have had 3 heatwaves.
Right now in middle England the thermometer reads 30c and rising.
But the Scarlet berries of the Rowan trees tell us that Autumn is knocking on the door…. and just to confirm this seasonal move, the more sombre berries of the Blackthorn have arrived in profusion.
Even some Horse Chestnut Trees are showing their seasonal decline…
Autumn seems so far away, all the more so when one is seeking shade and reaching for another cold drink.
We get what we get given, so best enjoy…. and as always….
