October is fading away… as are many of the leaves. It has been, like much of this year, a strange month… another month not following the master plan. Autumn has been more mellow than usual. True, we have had some brilliant bold reds of the Maples, but for the most part there is still lots of green, it may be fading but hanging on. The true golden autumnal colours are as yet few… I even wonder if we will get the usual golden glow across all the woodlands….one good frost and high wind and the leaves will be down.
We have enjoyed some good days in October and here is a potpourri of some colourful moments…
Now we just need to see what surprises November has up it sleeves.

Some beautiful colorful photos of autumn here. Love it! Our leaves finally did turn colors but not as nice as previous years. But we had rain and lots of wind so now most trees are bare already.
