A calm autumnal morning on the cut… the cut being the navvies word for the canals they cut through the countryside. This cut being the Trent & Mersey Canal creating a ‘short cut between the River Trent in Nottinghamshire and the Mersey nr Liverpool in Lancashire.
Tranquil today but once a busy waterway.
A leisurely pace for some waterways lovers…. even home for some.
November and autumn has arrived, lets hope the month is kind to all of us, a last flourish before winter arrives… and as always…
