
It is always surprising what one stumbles across on a wet woodland walk. Pottering along, whilst keeping your head down, then occasionally pausing to get ones breath back….. and wow! you spot something hiding in a dark corner at the base of a Beech Tree. Not sure of its proper botanical name, but think its everyday name is Honey Fungus. It is those little things that brighten any day, even the darkest.
No matter the weather or wherever you are…always….

My phone thinks it is Chicken of the Woods (Laetiporus sulphureus), a highly sought-after mushroom by foragers.
