Inspired….
Inspired is the word nominated by host Debbie for this Sundays OWS Challenge. Inspired a word that can be used, or referred to, in many ways in our lives. I read some where that Inspired was… ideas, actions, or creations that are brilliant, creative, of a high quality/standard. So I have selected 3 images that inspire me in different ways.
The lead image is of Litchfield Cathedral, a magnificent structure, the skill of the craftspeople of long-gone generations has to be inspiring. But it could have been any one of the many magnificent and more simple places of worship that are part of our long history. I am not religious, not a believer, but cannot deny an uplifting of spirit and well-being, by the atmosphere that surrounds me in such places.

Music and those Musicians that create so much of the music that enters our lives. Classic or more modern…maybe a skilful blending of styles and themes. It matters not but the skills of the musician who can create magical sounds from brass, strings, reeds and all the combinations.… each following a string of black dots on a series of horizontal lines. Its magic, uplifting and for me inspiring.

My final Inspirational image is of the everchanging landscape. Natures painting board of creativity upon which we all, human, flora or fauna try to exist, hopefully side by side. As many followers know, it is the mountains that have always inspired my life… on a summit, slope, approach or simply the valleys below… I just find the magnificent, the changing weather, uplifting and yes.. Inspiring.
Now let’s see and hear what Inspires you. The Link to Debbie’s Blog to join in the OWS is here:- https://travelwithintent.com/

Nor do they have to grand or overpowering with intensity to make that very personal contact…music can be so moving.

great choices, David.
I visited Lichfield Cathedral as a child and was overwhelmed by its detail. It’s definitely not one of my favourites (it feels too heavy and imposing) but like you, I’m a non-believer but I do enjoy a sense of peace and rest in many religious buildings.
