Odds and Ends in the Garden

Oxeye Daisies are now flourishing, waves of heads already in the borders but many more buds yet to open, with a little breeze that wave becomes a ripple… a rather soothing ripple of white, green and yellow.

But this summer it is the Day Lilly that is having a bumper year. Each bloom short lived as the name suggests, but with each morning, new buds have opened for their turn to shine…. nor are they choosey, pocking up where ever they fancy, the Phlox having to make some room.

As I have mentioned before, this Spring and early Summer has been one of unpredictability. Some plants arriving later than usual, whilst other much earlier. Lets say its been interesting, now July is nearly here and high summer so one does wonders what else is in store, what surprises, await for us in the garden.
