On a Whim…I bought a Tiger for the Garden. Well, actually a packet of bulbs.
It was back in the early Spring. Browsing the packets of bulbs on display a picture on the front of one, caught my eye… It said Tiger Flower and in brackets Mexican Flower. So, on impulse I bought a packet.
Planted the bulbs in a pot, then waited. Waited for ages, then tall slim leaves appeared… then last week a fabulous Flower burst open from what appeared to be nowhere. I checked it out on Google, mainly to confirm the name, and learnt the sad news that the flower only lasts for a day. It was 6 days later till the next flower appeared, only this time there were 3. Then another gap and 2 more today. None to sure there will be more.
The end is like a shroud….
Fabulous flowers, but only a day to enjoy…. Seems such a shame, all that effort, then gone.
It is Friday, again and so soon, but a weekend ahead… enjoy and as always…..
