High on the Moors on the Cheshire/ Derbyshire border is the hamlet of Rainow. It is here that you will find Jenkin Chapel. Built by locals in 1733 from local materials, for the rural community and still used today.
Jenkin Chapel is also built at the cross-roads of several old Packhorse routes, some on the very important Salters Way. It seems lonely today, but once on a busy highway.

Stone flag floor and rough wooden pews, not changed for centuries…. but with more modern stained glass windows adding some welcome colour to an otherwise austere interior.

Have a relaxing Sunday if you can… and as always….
