The Church of Saint Stephens, is also known as Forest Chapel.
Located above Macclesfield, in an area known as Macclesfield Forest with expansive moorland views.
Saint Stephens was originally built in 1673, but then rebuilt in 1834 and has remained largely unchanged since. Saint Stephens still serves a largely farming community… as testified by its large graveyard.
