We have just past the mid-point of October. The summer was good but very different from the norm…drought and heatwaves, it also appeared reluctant to leave. We past the autumnal Equinox, supposedly into autumn…. but still no real change. True we have a few signs of the autumn colours we would expect, but not many and we have had some rain.
The weather has changed a little over the past week or so, gradually becoming what one would expect for autumn at mid October…. but in the gardens we still have many reminders of the past summer, all be it late summer memories… not bad for mid October.

Even the trees are reluctant to let go and face the coming winter, I wonder if they will give autumn a miss

They say change is good for us…. maybe so… but as always….

With storms and torrential rain forecast fot this week, I wonder if in a couple of days autumn will be over.

That’s why it’s wonderful that we can preserve it in photographs. Thanks to the pictures, its colors and magic will always stay alive, no matter the weather outside. ππ·

Such beautifully colored photos! Sadly, our flowers have all been zapped and are no more due to the heavy frost we just experienced. So thank you for providing these for me to view. π
