Rhymes have been used over the centuries to relay the many ‘Folklore’ messages.
I guess we can all recount the weather rhyme…

Red Sky in the Morning Sailors Warning
You can of course substitute Shepherds for Sailors, whatever takes your fancy.
However, I am beginning to wonder just how much truth there is in this piece of weather folklore? Maybe truer than we often credit.
There have been far too many mornings of late, when we have enjoyed a bright start. That promise soon vanishes, and rain is then very much on the menu.
2022 was both a record warm year and predominantly dry…. so yes, we needed rain. But the need for rain doesn’t make it feel any the better. Right now the folklore is proving to be rather accurate 🙂
