A Skeleton at Dawn
After a weekend of milky skies, Monday gave us a short burst of sunshine. Long shadows from the low sun created silhouettes and hot spots of colour. Didn’t last long, just two hours of smile making sunshine…then back to normal.
For the lone Heron there was a chance to bask in some brief but very welcome warmth..

Yep it is at times hard to identify the season. I suspect before the end of this month we may well get some ‘proper’ winter weather…..maybe some snow like you! 🙂

Beautiful photos. I wonder how old that top tree is?

Looking at some old maps…I guess between 80 and 100 years…..So as it is an Oak tree, not that old! 🙂

Young enough to appreciate being able to wake up each morning without sore ‘limbs’ but old enough to start forgetting where it ‘leaves’ things 🙂

Aahh… if only, isn’t it? 😀 I know. Hope the cold and humid weather of the winter won’t affect you too much.
