Turned out Nice Again….

Blossom

The Artic winds have dropped, though it is still cold, so the blossom on the cherry and apples trees can heave a sigh of relief as they can live that bit longer.

It is that time of spring when we hover between the early bulbs and blooms and those plants and flowers of late spring that lead us on into summer. Just a slight pause in colour….but still rather nice, a fresh spring feel with lots of new growth that is all rather encouraging..

The next few weeks will see another explosion of  bright colours and rich growth with much more pollen and nectar for the hungry insects.

    • I think the actions the UN suggested are to only way forward. It includes spreading wealth better. Recognising we all can do just a little in every direction to save and recycle and all those little actions will have an effect. Internationally develop a better science lead energy policy. Conservation organisations to think much more broadly than single specie concentration and go back to proper habitat creation and biodiversity. It does touch everything we do. Here in the UK we could stop the HS2 project that has always been environmentally unsound, abandon the 3rd runway at Heathrow. Develop and improve the local travel links both public and road and recognise that a good deal of todays road traffic pollution is caused by congestion caused by withdrawing and delaying those link improvements….standing traffic is one of the major causes. It also takes Governments to take a more positive look at all the issues and to seek sound science advice rather than shifting from one policy to another to match mood and fashion swings.
