Wind Blown Daffodils, Darley, Derbyshire
A cold north wind greets the first day of Spring. The sun may well be shining and also warm when you are in the shelter, out in the open it is another matter. It is also a shock for these Daffodils that have struggled to bloom and are now being buffeted from one side to the other and back again.
On the positive side this wind is what one might call a drying wind, drying the land that has for so long now been saturated to overflowing.

It is an encouraging feel that spring really is on its way…. even though it is cold and windy 🙂

Poor daffys. Ours haven’t bloomed yet.
