With temperatures of 25c it really does feel more like summer than spring. But best enjoy this bonus weather whilst we can, it is due to change on Sunday and normal service will resume next week….. well that is what the forecasters tell us, we will see.
But if you were confused, the woodlands would confirm that it is still early spring…
Dark skeletons of trees against a backdrop of green leaves, green that is recognised as spring green. Then look up and with crystal clear blue skies to provide an even brighter backdrop those leaves sparkle….
There is always a down side and that is the shadows across the woodland floor edging the Bluebells that little closer to vanishing for another year.
The flowers are still Blue but the leaves are now drooping, best described as being like a plant without water.
A leaf of another kind is giving us pleasure in our garden. Our miniature Japanese Maple, in spring, sports some deep burgundy red leaves, a colour that will return in the autumn…
A windblown Clematis branch has created its own floral arrangement and found a temporary home in the birdbath…
Make the most of the spring weather if you are able… it is at least a bonus in these problematic times in which we live…
Please Remember ….

Thank you.. in these trouble times I am lucky to ‘exercise’ in such a lovely place. I do feel for those with no garden, no space to walk.
