Again we wake to a blue sky. But by the time we had coffee and breakfast the first signs of a weather front started to appear….a Mackerel sky is what we call it. But also the wind started to blow not strong but enough to shake all the leaves and bend the branches on the Silver Birch. The Met Office has predicted storms once again with two fronts heading across the Atlantic.
The Japanese Anemone are doing their best to hide from any incoming weather ravages. Elsewhere the Crab Apples are staring to ripen and the Elderberries swelling but not as yet changed colour. Hover Flies seeking another meal and Honeysuckle doing its best to produce a second wave of flowers
You could be fooled into thinking that this was to be another lovely summers day….bright sunshine and dark shadows
But a quick look up at the sky and you know that this merely a brief tease before the weather change….
On hour later the rain arrived.

Rain is good too, and we could use more of it here (still). Love your first shot, looking up.
