After several dull day grey days (too many for my liking) this morning was a dramatic change… it was just as if someone had turned the lights on!
Indeed what a change. The sun is now low and getting lower with each day. Long dark shadows add to the vibrance of the day and those fast emerging autumn colours.
Golden leaves have started to make a rich carpet, a carpet that can only get thicker over the next few days. Then a wind will come and sweep them away to nothing.
Buster is never that impressed with autumn’s leaves. I always associated the fallen leaves with little boys running through them, kicking them high and wide. None too sure that kids have fun that way anymore…as for Buster, running through leaves isn’t for him…
It has been a bonus sunny autumnal day. But at the close of play this evening, dark clouds have arrived, whilst the sun has one last blast of light to bestow on the Poplar that has yet to loose its leaves…
We will see what tomorrow will bring us… we cannot choose…. so whatever the weather…

Buster does not look impressed at all!

He hates standing or sitting still when out on walkies and is vocal in telling me so…That is quite a contrast with the ease with which he snoozes on one of the settees (then its a case of do not disturb) 🙂

Sorry to hear that Buster doesn’t like running through autumn leaves; all of our dogs, throughout our 40 years with them, have loved it!

He is our first dog not to. When he was a puppy he walked round puddles and has avoided water ever since, swimming is not for him. When we had Carla, our Labrador, who was in swimming at any opportunity, Buster would run along the waters edge barking at her….. and you didn’t need to speak doggy, to know he was telling her to get out of the water NOW!! :-),
