The Weeping Willow weeps. This April it is the exception as far as weeping goes. The old rhyme “April Showers Bring Forth May Flowers” was in reality, this Spring, missing the showers. True, we have had plenty of welcome sunshine, we have also experienced the coldest April on record for over 40 years. One Official Weather Presenter said that Aprils weather has been bonkers….. I think that is a technical term.
Despite or perhaps because of all that ‘weather’, April has provide a month of colour and variety. Bulbs, wild flowers and trees have tried to react as if Spring is here…. yes, a colourful month…
Buster is just hoping that May will bring some equally good ‘walkies’
It has been un-seasonably dry. Nice whilst it lasted…… but I guess May, may well make up for that. We do needs some water. What ever the weather…
Please Remember ….
Stay Safe …. Be Kind…. Look After Each Other

And even so, you seem to be a couple of weeks ahead of us! 🙂

It has been strange. The days have been warm, the night frost and often well below freezing, a real sea-saw. But it is official April has been the driest for over 40 years. That of course after the wettest winter on record. I guess we will pay for this great April in May 🙂

I thought a look back at.Aprils colours was called for. It’s been a good month despite being bonkers 😃

You are definitely ahead of us in color and gorgeous spring flowers. And Buster looks quite handsome in that expanse of daffodils.

A wonderful spring gallery, David – just gorgeous. Dry here too, and also cold. My magnolia lasted for one day and a half – brown and black now unfortunately. But yesterday we saw the first birches out!

I always feel so sorry for magnolia. Fantastic flower… but so often short-lived. If the rain doesn’t get them the frost does.

True – a sad story it is. About every second year it manages to stay for a couple of days.
