21st August…. Its Summer – but not for much longer

Not sure why, but I have felt for many years, that once August 21st arrives, there seems to be a step change in the summer season.  Certainly the Meteorological Office define Autumn as starting on September 1st.  Thankfully the natural seasons seem to leave it for a few weeks later…..  sometimes even into late October!

But at the moment, it is perhaps best to make the most of the summer days that we have left…   autumn, even though it can be very beautiful, will be with us soon enough…. but lets hope later rather than sooner.

Time does fly by at an incredible pace…  now and at anytime…

    1. We can hope. The past week for us has not been bad but neither would you describe it as summer weather. Mornings were great then from lunchtime it would cloud over, temperature drop, occasional showers and very much “backend-ish”.
