It’s Back Endish……. just one of those old fashioned country sayings, that my late Mother in Law was apt to quote, around this time of the year.
On a day that started misty, morphed into grey and with a temperature drop, the season does seem to have moved on just a little.
Indeed small signs of the seasonal change keep reminding us that the year progresses.
Autumn is perhaps my favourite season….but I would rather it was slow in its arrival and remain with us till Christmas.
The only sure thing is that we cannot influence our weather or the time of seasonal change.
Whatever is instore for the seasons and for us as individuals….

edible!

We know it as a Cotoneaster. Prolific berries…sadly they are hard, not edible, and even avoided by the birds who only resort to them when foraging gets tough. Still rather attractive 🙂
