Silent Sunday (2) …. A Bit Scary at Church this morning

It is the annual Village Scarecrow Weekend.  At the Church a Scarecrow Wedding is taking place.

The Groom looks rather pleased with himself whilst the Bride does look a little concerned !

As for the Minister and Verge, I think they are relieved that the service is over and certainly one guest is rather dis-interested (or perhaps thinking “rather him than me”

 

Just 5 of over 45 Scarecrows around the villages today.

    1. The church was not the instigator of the event, just a contestant participating in this fairly new village tradition…. its fun and helping to create a community spirit. As for the priest… that was a photo face mask. 🤣

        1. Boris..who is he?… Oh!, he is the one who thinks he is a real Prime Minister. He is also more like a scarecrow than a Scarecrow.. At least a real Scarecrow has a useful purpose. 🙂
