Just a Thought or A Rather Frightening Reminder….

It is the 25th of September today…..   which is perhaps an apt time to mention that there are only 89 days till Christmas.

Which ever way you look at time and just how fast it vanished into infinity, Christmas will be here before you know it.

So now is the time to cheer and start making preparations… or  Loudly Groan.

(I think I am with the later)

  4. It is way to early to start telling adventures to grown-ups, David! I shudder thing about my locar ladiostations playing nothing but Christmas hymns for 3 months! Come Xmas I’m so fed up I could throw up!

  5. Merchandise already in stores here too! Over here in the U.S., I get annoyed with all the Christmas hype WAY too early. Not because I don’t love Christmas, because I actually do. But we have this holiday called Thanksgiving and it always gets lost in the race to commercialize Christmas. I want to celebrate Thanksgiving and be grateful for all I’ve been graciously given before I celebrate Christmas.

    1. We don’t have a Thanksgiving…. but we have of course Halloween which in my view is a perverse celebration, then we have my other hate which we imported from your side of the pond…Black Friday. Bad enough on its own but now seems to last for two weeks either side. As for Christmas the true meaning and spirit was lost along time ago being smothered by retail hype.
