I rather fear that the late arrival of autumn indicates an early arrival of winter. There are still some autumnal hotspots but bare tree skeletons are now becoming more dominant…
Even the River looks more like winter… cold and uninviting…
What has been a strange seasonal year, working to its own unpredictable time table gets a little closer to its end.
Being honest, I have to admit that IF we had enjoyed just a little sunshine today it maybe wouldn’t look quite so much like winter.
At least it keeps us on our toes, but whatever the season…..
