November has been rather kind to us…. true we have ‘enjoyed’ a severe Storm over this last weekend but that said the Month has rather excelled. We have had some autumn colour but for the most part its has been a green extension of the season.
In our small corner of the UK we have also had a rare visit of snow, only a little dusting compared with other areas.
What made the morning magical was an overnight frost plus a minus 5c temperature… sealing the snow to the trees. The sun did try from the very start to break through the clouds, eventually succeeding for a short spell round lunchtime.
The Lake, surprisingly free from Ice, still looked differently cheerful with it surrounding coat of snow…
But the star of the show as always is the venerable Furlong Oak….. a stark skeleton against the morning sky, the few leaves it sports catching and holding tight to the snow for a while longer
Over tonight the snow will vanish…… will it return? who knows. Our past few winters have been surprisingly snow free. Maybe this year things will change.
Rain or Shine, Snow or Storms…… we will get, what we get given, and please…
Remember ….
Stay Safe …. Be Kind…. Look After Each Other

We have gotten the rest of the snow that you could find no room for at this time. Just enough to change the nature from a dreary grey to a clean white (As long as it lasts!) But in places further West they woke to 16 inches over night!

Our snow fall was one afternoon only…. an a poor apology for your rich snows. As predicted all gone now and guess what, they predict above average temperatures again for a couple of days. 🙂
