Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge (CFFC)…… Bark and Leaves

Bark and Leaves is this weeks Fun Foto Challenge suggested by Cee. So I thought I would start with this image.  It is an HDR image of a wood in autumnal colours.  I admit to a love of woodlands,  whilst we all long for Spring with all its new growth and colours, it is autumn and winter that I find equally as attractive.  It is the time of year when you can see those skeletons, all the twist and shapes created by age and weather.

Autumn also brings out the hidden colours of the leaves, one last flourish before they decay…

 

But even on the dampest, misty of January days, days that add a little mystery to the woods, the still try to impress…

Come the Spring I will also be exploring the woods, a place of peace, somewhere to reflect on new life and the hope they inspire.
