Early morning and the light catches the new growth that has suddenly appeared on this loan tree on the edge of the woods.
The woodland trees are still bare. Daffodils now carpet the floor. Just over 3 weeks ago it was Snowdrops that provided a white carpet. I guess in about 3 more weeks todays yellow will be replaced by the rich colour of Bluebells.
Apart from the floral seasonal indicator, the woods were full of spring call of woodland birds.. it has to be spring!
Nor will it be long before the tall Beech Trees cast their dark shadows across the woods….. the Bluebells have to rush to flower before they loose the light
Whatever your season, no matter the weather or where you are….
