Just like magic…yesterday this Horse Chestnut Tree was just sporting some rather plump buds…. this morning it is full of leaf, all in their brand-new spring colour splendour.
It may well be a tree that I pass most days, for the most part I take it for granted. Then, on mornings like this it shouts ‘look at me’ aren’t I am rather special.
More signs of springs progress are appearing. Marsh Marigolds, Forget me Not, Bluebells and Dandelion’s. Magnolia and Daffodils are passing their best but still add to that spring ambience
The last day of the Easter Holiday break and the sun has shone everyday. Temperatures have been unseasonably high….. today was a little different. Whilst the sun still shone, the thermometer had dropped, over the Lake it looked rather cold.
The Ice Cream Van had been doing a roaring trade, mini queues. for their 99’s.
Today very few takers.
Holiday over and for many its back to work…. but at work or an extended break, as always
