As April comes to an end, and those April Showers have been so elusive. I thought that before we are inundated with May flowers, that I would reflect on my flower of this last month.
It is the humble Dandelion. Much maligned by gardeners as a weed, but in reality, one of the most important flowers in countryside or garden for the diversification of our habitat.
Not only valuable…… but look closely and it is a flower of beauty rivaling many of the hybrid floral blooms.
They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder 🙂
The weekend approaches, a time to relax for many….. but as always…

I agree. I often see dandelions and think what stunning plants they are.

This time of year, all around the fields and unkempt garden sides or village roads , I see blooming these yellows. And I so love them, it brings a bit of sunshine as if.

That’s easy for me. I dug all of my lawns and made flower beds and gravel paths!

Well, our yard is covered with dandelions and I love them! They always look like happy little spots of yellow and they make me smile. Of course, we live in the country where it doesn’t matter if our yard is infiltrated by “weeds.” When we lived in the suburbs of cities, everyone tried to irradicate them from their plush lawns, which always made me a little sad.

I tend to feel that many of us who live in the suburbs are far too precious of our gardens. 😃
