A Late Summers Walk in the Woods

Nearly the middle of October and a gloriously sunny day. After a couple of rather cold nights, we did expect to find a little more autumnal colour.  OK , some colour but for the most part still bright green, and of course with all the leaf cover still rather dark within the woods.

Recent winds have brought down the Crab Apples, so I guess that is a sign of autumns approach 

Elsewhere the Fallow Deer, both Stags and Hinds were doing their best to hide…..  in theory the Fallow Deer Rut should be over for the year…

No substantial signs of autumn but the walk certainly didn’t disappoint… that is a treat for another day…
