The Fushia survived the heavy rains of yesterday…. and in late afternoon sunshine are continuing to provide us with some summer colour.
The Dahlia also add colour but are starting to show signs of weathering. Not sure they will last much longer, indeed I fear some buds will not now open.
Hiding in a dark corner, the Japanese Anemone, wafting on their tender stems, have also managed the downpours.
For the 22nd October we still await the autumn to arrive… till then we enjoy these late summer treats.
Whatever your weather and the change of seasons, as always….

Very nice! Enjoy your good weather. We’ve had a respite too with warm temperatures (after our little dusting of snow one morning). And our summer porch box red petunias are still blooming and vibrant in contrast to the orange leaves on the maple trees and our autumn mums. It’s definitely a mix of seasons but it’s nice!

After such a strange year for weather, I do ponder on what the winter will bring us. Though I do think that a real autumn of colour will be short lived.

We’re wondering the same thing about winter. Gearing up for a rough one, maybe??
