Sundown in the Derwent Valley, Derbyshire
This Mornings walk was uninspiringly damp and grey. As I wanted to finish Becky’s #WalkingSquares, which reaches its conclusion today, on a bright note – I had to raid the archive.
Autumn a couple of years ago, enjoying a long walk round the Upper Derwent Valley. As dusk fell, the sun sank behind the tall Larch, adding their own glow to a November afternoon. Magic and the perfect autumnal end to the walk.
So, there we have it, what I hope is an appropriate image for Becky’s #WalkingSquares.
Thank you Becky, for setting the task…. it was fun.
So, it’s goodbye to November and hello to December….. gosh a year nearly over.
No matter where you are, no matter the day or the month, as always…

Glad you liked it… on another topic which I know interests you ie Lighthouses. Just finished a novel called ” The Lamplighters” by Emma Stonex. It is a work of fiction but worked around a true mystery on one of our off shore Lighthouses. It’s a strange story but also an intriguing
insight in to the life of Lighthouse Keepers on remote isolated lights. It might just interest you. It’s a paperback

I’m definitely interested in that novel. It sounds very intriguing. Thanks for giving me the info! I already wrote down the title and author so I won’t forget to look for it.
