Not the best if images, but I thought I would share this phone capture, as the Blossom is rather special.
This fruit tree is on the wall of our local nursery; it is in the old orangery and has been there for 140 years. It is a Peach tree and amazingly, in March, it is in an abundance of blossom. The rich pink brightening up another wise dull and very cold March afternoon.
March may not be the best time of year to visit a Plant Nursery, but it is an old traditional nursery. Fascinating seeing the work in setting seeds for summer plants and planting on their smaller home-grown plants…. . you begin to recognise and admire the hard work and the dedication needed to be a Nurseryman, no automated machinery to help, just constant hard work….. all the while hoping nature will do its bit for another great season.
Tucked away, ready to be placed on sale, an abundance of Spring colour.
Spring suddenly seems so far away. February was full of sun and hope. March is grey and cold with the threat of snow….. a very marked change.
Whatever your weather, whatever your plans….. as always….
Please Remember ….
Stay Safe …. Be Kind…. Look After Each Other
