The last day of November… not the best of months. But it did finish on a high. Blisteringly bright sunshine on a cold frosty morning. (I do have to admit that I was not out as early as I would have liked, so missed the best of the frost)
Always love the skeletons of the Ash Trees. The last to leaf in Spring, then suddenly overnight in autumn, they drop their leaves on mass….. but what they leave behind is still rather grand.
Down by the Lakes, top Lake was frozen but the main Lake still clear of ice.
Not many leaves left on the surrounding trees but just a few, mainly Oak, have some autumnal colours to show off……

So goodbye November and get ready to welcome December. Maybe you look forward to Christmas or maybe not. As for me I can take it or leave it…. just so long as the tribe we call grandkids enjoy themselves.
As always……
Please Remember ….

Autumn can be so beautiful… it’s sad to see these warm colors disappear soon.

It was cold, and the contrast from warmth from the sun to the shadows was very marked… but lovelly fresh air
