Yesterday a rare treat. Early morning sunshine casting long shadows as it joined the day. What a change from the drab, wet grey days of late. Too good an opportunity to miss.
The sun got brighter as the morning progressed, but down by the old Boat House by the Lake it still felt cold, much colder than the thermometer indicated. … I guess not surprising with all the accumulated damp in the ground., although water levels in the Lake had receded.

Sunshine and shelter, but no one brave enough to picnic…. but there was the odd Snowdrop to suggest that Spring is on the way.
Saturday and what has become the norm for our weather returned…. more rain and grey skies. It all makes yesterday so special for us.
We shouldn’t wish time away…. but Sprung cannot come soon enough.
Till then – always…

We had snow Friday and there is still some on the ground. Spring’s not ready to spring yet for us.
