After all those dark days, we were blessed with another sunny start. So no time to waste, just head out and enjoy.
Todays walk was to be at Kedleston Woods. Autumn is still playing fast and loose this year. Many trees now bare, other in full leaf whilst some are sporting their golden colours. (I am told overall that autumn colours are not as rich as the leaves have lacked sunshine and so poor sugar levels, the sugar helps develop the colour).
Feeling rather smug for making the early start, but 2 hours later the cloud had returned and even delivered a few spots of rain…. I just hope that wasn’t our ration of sunshine for the rest of the month…. we wait to see.
