Midday…Lakeside
The local and regional predictions for todays weather were rather dire. True, it did state that we would start with blue skies and lots of warm sunshine. “Make the most of it” they said . as it will not last.
In fact they produced a graph that gave a chance of rainfall of 45% by 10am….. then steadily increasing…. 76% and onto peak at 1pm of 85% and on through the afternoon and overnight.
Early morning we did wake to plants dripping from the previous nights rain… even some spiders webs. Then the day was just one sunny autumnal surprise, only a breeze to occasionally ruffle the Lakes waters.
I am pleased they miscalculated, we enjoyed a bonus autumnal day. Sunshine remained till 4.30pm then rain… torrential for 20 minutes and now we are left with a glorious sunny evening and new prediction of no overnight rain.
