Still not at there full height, Daisies are starting to force their way above the Buttercups.
It is though the bright yellow Buttercups that still hold sway in the meadows. I guess a true sign that summer is here. Meteorologically the start of summer is tomorrow. Maybe a weather change is due, but we have had an unexpected but welcome series of mini heatwaves….we wait to see. Meantime we can enjoy the colourful meadows…
Foxgloves are staring to appear along the lane edges and darker corners of the woods. This stand of Foxgloves are not truly the wild ones. Someone has allowed some seeds from cultivated stock to escape!
Back home in the garden it was time to relax and enjoy the changing colours, each day something new appears….
Birds are all very active. Main activity is feeding what seems like a never ending flow of youngsters. All like this baby Blackbird demanding more food from an over worked mum…
But it is time to relax. A pot of tea by the potting shed whilst Buster decides that a dose of shut eye is what is needed..
