Iceland…
It is Monday, a new week so lets make an early start to yet another week in Lockdown.
It was also a very very early start, around mid-summer, after a night when the sun never slept, when we arrived at Isafjordur on our Icelandic adventure.
It was so peaceful as we cruised up the Fjord, surrounded by snow capped mountains, with only the sound of seabirds as company, breathing in air that felt so fresh and clean…. it was therapeutic.
Another memory to brighten these strange times we are now managing…

Ah, yes, mid-summer in Iceland, so nice and warm, right? Did you have a refreshing morning dip in that lovely, warm water to start your day?

When we were in Reykjavik the temperature climbed to a dizzy 19.8c….. the driver of our mini bus joked (I think) that if the temperature rose to 21c the Government would declare a Public Holiday. 🙂 As for swimming, don’t forget there are thermal pools

It was a great 2 weeks, and in these times those memories seem even more important. Maybe one day ? 🙂
