-5c when we headed out on another bonus morning. The sunshine belied the deep cold and did its best to confuse our senses. One thing it couldn’t defy is the distinctive wintery scent of the woods. Rich resin aromas from the Pine, musky fragrances from the dry leaves all enhanced as we trod our way through them…. those are smells that one cannot replicate in a picture.
The sun did manage to force the temperature up to a mighty -2c as we headed homeward.
But despite its best efforts the frost and mist still lingered over the meadows.
Whatever your weather and we know it can be unpredictable, I hope you can make the very best of it…. and also, as always….
